Hello everybody,

i have a problem with the version from 2024.12.0 till 2024.12.5.

if i use a button on a wall panel, with a light, switch, plug, … i used with the smartlife integration, its only switch one time. from off to on, and it is not possible to switch bag to off. Only i open the button with a long press, and there i switch again from off to on AND from on to off, the light, switch go off. bud the picture on the button card, show on again.

this is only by the smartlife integration, other things i used with the Tuya app are working perfektly.

please help, or tell me if you are wanting more information about this problem.

THX

Udo

bevor this version 2024.11.3 i have this problems not.

Watch out - the action property will be permanently removed from Z2M 2.0 onwards (due to be released in January).

If you’re on the current version of Z2M (1.42.0) I believe it is also removed, but can be reenabled. I could be wrong about that last part - have a read through the release notes for Z2M.

That change is reversed. The action sensor will remain for now

Thanks for all the responses. I am indeed running Z2M 1.42.0-2

The caveat about using event trigger is, I don’t know how to do it yet when combined with AppDaemon.

In fact, I am unsure if I still need to use AppDaemon to bind the button actions. Did anyone played with an alternative to AppDaemon?

After updating to latest version of core an OS I’ve lost all musicplayer functionality in MA. had to roll back.

Is it just me, or is 24.12.5 is very unstable. I keep losing connection and have to reboot my system to get it to run again.

Not here…
Try to reboot your router. In my case occasionally happens (although rarely) that devices start to drop connection frequently, in this case HA reboot doesn’t help, only total reboot of my mesh system does (i have main router and 3 AP’s).

I rebooted the router like you said. Willing to try anything. Although I am doubtful that this is the issue. I can connect to my Deb 12.8 with no issues. Running docker restart homeassistant brings it back up in a few seconds. No problems with 24.11.x

No such version. Always state the proper full version.

2024.12.5 Seriously you would waste time on something like this ? I don’t know what to say… Hmm… Merry Christmas

It’s a general best practice in all of software. There are many cases where it can create ambiguity — and not to type an extra 20 is just sloppy, lazy or something else. In this case, you have the HA Core version, supervisor version and HAOS version, so depending on your specific installation method, one or more of these can apply. It’s not just pedantry.

Your post was absolutely unclear. If someone wants your post to become more clear & thus increase a probability to get a support → then you should thank them.

I have the same behaviour. After update, lost supervisor, any access to Add-ons, and file editor, so no access to configuration.yaml. mqtt server error saying authentication expired ?!?
Several restart (even boot) did not help.
Instalation in raspi over docker, working 24x7 since 2022 maintaining alll updates up to 2024.12
I managed to update mosquitto docker configuration with new user pass but supervisor and addons are missing.
Every reboot we get a list of notices with logs like:
