Putting mot !?!?!?! to your sentence don’t make it more senseful. Don’t get, why you are not getting the topic. But I will stop the discussion here. My pictures above are clear and not related to your example.
The section height is determined by the sum total height of the cards inside the section and row height is determined by the max height of any given section in a row… (this is what Dave is saying)
And x number of sections are allowed horizontally in a row. (settings)
Then. Start new row. (this is the important part… Complete the row, then new row, that section at the bottom will not flow up into the blank space. It’s simply not designed to do that. It’s in the next row and can’t skip up to the row above…
What you want essentially merges the two rows (vertically) in the first column and has the rows unmerged to the left (easy to do in excel, this is not excel).
Easy in css grid, as far as I know the is NOT currently possible in sections.
No. I have several pages with very long entity (auto entity) cards or logbooks, which I don’t want to restrict. And if I fill only the colomns next to them, they are as unstructured as in mensory before. And not e.g. top aligned where I want. For this the row-span is really helfull and wonderful.
