After updating to 2025.2 everything seemed fine. The next day I had to restart the VM (running home assistant OS) and once back up and running I got a failed to connect error on both my Aqara Video Doorbell and Aqara Hub as Homekit devices. My other Homekit devices (thermostat and one light) both still worked. After doing every reset possible to the camera it would not connect and then would not pair once removed. It DOES still pair to an iPhone using Homekit so it is not the Aqara devices. After running out of ideas I finally rolled my VM back to before the update (running 2025.1.4) and after removing the Aqara Homekit devices I was able to add them back successfully.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated, or anyone who has a similar issue who could corroborate my issue as not a one off.
Thank you to an amazing community. Until now I always found solutions in this forum so hopefully someone more knowledgeable than myself can help.
same happened to me with an aqara wireless remote switch. It stopped working after the two last updates. I had to remove and readd it.
Other aqara sensors didn’t have the same problem
After the update to 2025.2.1 was available I tried doing an update straight from 2024.1.4 to 2025.2.1 and so far so good the Aqara Homekit devices are still working. I will update if anything changes. Thank you.
