2026.8.2 core upgrade fail

I have been attempt to upgrade from 2026.8.0 core to 2026.8.2 core and the 2026.8.2 upgrade alert keep shows up regardless of how may times I attempted to upgrade. Has anyone got it to work with following config as I am? and if you’ve got it to work, what was solution?

I am running on HAOS on raspberry pi 3 b+ and these are current version info:

  • Core2026.8.0
  • Supervisor2026.07.5
  • Operating System18.2
  • Frontend20260729.5

Hi I suspect you may be running out of RAM, the Pi 3b is no longer recommended, realistically you need 2Gb of RAM and 4Gb is better. Suspect you really need a platform upgrade and these day RPi is probably not the best option.

Ah I see, thank you.

Thanks, this explains why my update to 2026.8.2 is also failing.

@jlv I got the core upgrade working by keeping absolutely necessary integrations and no apps running, minimized dashboards and completely power down restart to scrap any memory. I attempted the upgrade right after full power down raspberry pi 3b+ restart. However, yes, I do agree that it is recommended to run on minimum raspberry pi 4 with 2gb as recommended. @EBME2 Thank you for the tip on low memory issue.

If this is the answer, I suggest marking as a solution to help others.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Instead, I finally moved my HA instance over to the 8G Pi CM4 I had and retired the 3b+.
