2nd internal Harddrive - HassOS running on desktop PC

Hi,

I’ve recently installed HassOS on an old Desktop PC that I wasn’t using any more, and so far it has been running nicely booting off a small nvme ssd. However, since I am setting it up to run frigate for IP cam object detection - but utlimately also recording, I have installed a larger SATA HDD into the computer, which I would like to somehow mount into /media/recordings to have a larger space for the video recordings.

I’ve come across some articles regarding mounting USB hard drives using udev scripts - but before I go down that route for an internal HDD, I was wondering if anyone here has had any expeience with this? I had naively assumed that the hassos would simply mount any detected hard drives and make them available through the supervisor or config section…

Hello
I’m in the same situation and would like to add a 2nd HDD in my HP Elitedesk Mini PC.

I have google’d and read a lot, but not come to any clear conclusion.

Did you manage to solve this and can you give any help here?

Thank you very much in advance.

BR Rene
