Not sure if this is the right topic, if not please move this post.
I’ve been searching for weeks to solve this but so far no solution.
Situation. HA is running on Proxmox in the basement of a large home. To get a decent coverage (perhaps with an extra pi) also in the shed I’m trying to get 2x Zwave2mqtt (1x older zwave and 1 for newer zwave plus) + zigbee2mqtt + ser2net (rfxcom, visonic, Plugwise stick) on one raspberry pi. My idea was to run zwave and zigbee in containers and ser2net just install on pi.
Not sure if this a available approach, please jump in if someone has another idea
After some fiddling (ict guy but not so much with Linux stuff) I got one container with zwave2mqtt running and connected to HA. So I was thinking, yes! That’s step1, now the rest.
So this morning I booted the pi and no zwave2mqtt interface anumore despite there seems to be some sort of communication between ha and zwave2mqtt but the one switch I added is unreachable. Damn…
So instead of trouble shooting (not a clue why it stopped working, perhaps power outage caused it) I’m going to install all over, now easier because i learned from the first attempt.
So now the questions;
- Is the idea for the setup ok? 3x container + ser2net?
- Anyone found a guide for the multiple container setup?
- How to update the containers?
Thnx in advance for responding!
