Hot pants?
You need 380/400V 3-phase contactor suitable for your pump current. You drive that contactor with smart relay of your choice, I recommend Shelly Plus 1.

:rofl::rofl: wanted to say plants
thanks for the replay, will check that

edited the plant part :sweat_smile:`

This, you can also use a small ssr to drive the contactor if you want a microcontroller out there for any reason. Many will trigger using 3.3v logic.

And many don’t.
Also, those cheap SSRs sold in amazon and aliexpress are mostly dangerous crap, especially fake Fotek relays.
With good one (they are quite expensive) I agree.

I don’t recommend buying them new, lots of good surplus options on eBay though. I found a nice 40 amp version that’s been controlling my water heater for about 5 years and it is rated for 3v3. Just need to understand what you are buying. I haven’t messed with the Fotek relays, I don’t want to see how good my homeowner’s insurance is.

Exactly!
For the same reason I recommended Shelly instead of some aliexpress Huinhang branded tuya device. At least you have certified product.
