Without using IR i had to instruct the android tv box of my tv provider to go from their sh*ty dashboard to live TV mode, i think it couldn’t be easier (or geekier).
Sharing a tictok is not a very effective way of communicating this.
Perhaps actually sharing the code like an adult would be better?
