Thank’s for the issue @bacco007
Looking at this now.
@bacco007 @CoatsyJnr if anybody has the energy in this heat - please test 0.4.6 and let me know if it resolves the issue for you.
In the meantime bushfire.io has a lot of useful information gathered from many inputs.
Sorry for getting the ABC and BoM mixed up. You should be across both of them and a lot of others in a fire situation, even if you have evacuated and just want to see if your property was destroyed before being allowed back in.
Yes, I know, comforting my neice who lives in Highlands, yesterday watching the fire coming towards her, initially on Vic Emergency app, then literally from her front verandah before invoking her fire plan. We kept in touch from the evacuation centre, watching the helicopters on FlightRadar24 using water from her large dam to douse the flames as they approached her fence line. Watching the advancing thunderstorm and cool change and seeing it push the fire away from her home. She’s home today, cooking for the others that have lost their homes nearby, stunned, shocked, and homeless. She hasn’t lost anything, however she has new friends.
There are apps for scanners that can be left running in the background to listen in on emegency services that give you the same information being fed to incident controllers. You get your information first hand, unfiltered, no delays. The most reliable is the ‘bush grapevine’ and sense of Aussie mateship that is unique where you give your mate a hand, selflessly - the Aussie way.
That seems to have fixed it for now. I’ll see if it regenerates the non-nsw ones over the next few days, but hopefully all is good
This is a very delayed reply, but thanks for pointing me in the right direction, @troykelly. I’ve got the maps up on the dashboard now. Thanks also to @CoatsyJnr for double-checking for me.
@troykelly The ABC Emergency - TTS Announcement blueprint references tts.google_translate_say which I renamed my Google TTS entity to. However spook is throwing errors
Hey guys, I’m working on an API service, free to use and sign up. Try it: emergencyapi.com. Just contact me about issues or ideas, I’m actively working on it.
Bit of background: I was building a South Australian alert dashboard and noticed the state feeds were all different formats and not friendly to work with. Went down a rabbit hole and found every state publishes incident data differently. So I built an API that normalises all 8 states into one GeoJSON format. One endpoint, one schema, all states.
Should work well as a data source for HA integrations since you can filter by state or query by location. Take a look, happy to help if it’s useful.
