Ac Infinity Cloudforge T3 & T7 Gen 2

I saw people connecting third party fans to UIS ports on AC Infinity controllers and other control AC Infinity fans via UIS on third party home assistant controllers.

Has anyone looked into controlling these humidifiers with home assistant without using a AC Infinity Controller? So the existing controller integration wont work for me.
Would be cool to set the target VPD depending on growth cycle etc.

Edit:
Ok so what I learned so far from the manual is that the integrated controller and touch screen will be disabled when an external controller is connected.
So my first goal is getting into the external mode first. I suspect it might be as easy as grounding one pin. But my USB-C breakout board is stuck in mail sadly.

Got it working, connecting pin A5/CC1 with 10V turns of the display and seemingly sets it to 100% power. So I guess supplying 0.x - 10V there is enough to control it. Or maybe something else is needed to not have it jump back into self controlled mode when I actually want to turn it off.
I will setup an ESP32 and check that.
