Acces homeassistant locally when running DuckDNS

Hello Users,

I have my homeassistant running DuckDNS to acces the interface from outside my home network. This broke http://homeassistant.local:8123/ - i get the “page is not working - ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE” error.

When i look into my router i find the homeassistants ip adres. When i try to connect to the ip adres http://ip:8123 - i get the same “this page is not working - ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE” error.

How can i acces my homeassistant from within my local network? For when for instance, duck DNS is down or my router port-forwarding is somehow broken?

Thanks!

UPDATE!: Apparently i am an idiot; found out how to connect:
add the encryption protocol “S” to the link: https://ip:8123 - this will work
