Accessory not found when adding Apple TV 4K as Homekit Bridge

Hello,

I have been running HAOS on my Beelink Mini PC for a month now (since my Smartthings Hub died on me), and recently switched from Android to iPhone. I wanted to get my HA devices into the Apple Home app, and understand that the Apple Tv4k (ethernet) was regarded as one of the best Homekit Bridge options. I bought the Apple TV, hooked it up to ethernet, and when going through the Home Assistant UI, I was able to add the integration and get the QR code to pair it. When I select “add accessory” in Apple Home and scan the QR code, it recognizes it as a bridge. hen I select “add to home”, it just continues to search until it times out and says accessory not found. My understanding is that it should make me accept that it is an uncertified accessory where I click add anyway (see picture below). Can anyone point me in the correct direction to get this up and running?

Setup:
HAOS on Beelink Mini PC connected to ethernet from 1Gig Centurylink modem/router
I run the wired connection through the Centurylink Modem/Router, but I wanted a mesh network for coverage so I also run a Google Wifi system for my wireless internet.

Things I have tried:

  • Apple Tv hooked up with ethernet as well as wireless during install install
  • Restart router, HAOS, Apple TV
  • Make sure the HAOS PC is directly hooked up to the router
  • Make sure the Apple TV ethernet is also hooked directly to router rather than through the 10 port switch.

Anybody have an idea of what’s going on? I’m willing to change things in the router settings such as ports if that will allow the Apple TV to connect. The “uncertified accessory” just doesn’t pop up and then times out…
