I’ve got an old acer revo sitting around - what’s the best method to install hassio/home assistant.
Although a long time ago did you resolve as I am in the same position i.e. wish to install HA on an Acer Revo RL85 (still Windows 8.1).
installed it fine, how I did it, I think I had a bit of luck. From memory, removed windows from the Revo long ago when it was used as a media player. Firstly installed Debian, then docker (think there are instructions on this forum to do both) - I did also install portainer but that’s only for a gui interface for docker. Been working fine for quite a while.
