If it was written for beginners, then i wouldn’t have questions. He deleted his answer just to cover his offensive statements up.

thank you, I did see that. I’ll just press on from shooting in the dark from here. I guess the mistake i made in the first place was asking for help here, most everything I’ve learned about Home Assistant I’ve learned on my own because of people like him ‘you don’t already know , so poo poo on you’
For the record, It’s not me you should be reporting. I’m familiar with european lingo and the cheekish reference to americans as “pieces of shit” and referred to as ‘lesser beings’… hence my taking offence to some of the other guys statements. “Don’t bother, you know the saying: “Don’t feed the troll!” ” …yeah, that’s not very nice, i would say. I have a VERY low tolerance for that stuff. He was just mad cuz i picked up on it and handed his crap back to him.
That said, I should be the one reporting him; but i already know it wouldn’t do me any favors because of bias since this platform originates from the other side of the globe and a common philosophy is that of… ‘since you don’t already know, you’re stupid and I’m going to give you bare minimum info and you should be so grateful because i do this for free’ lens instead of legitimately sharing knowledge without consequence. In fact, it literally violates the fundamental principles of ‘open source’ software.
