Adaptive Cover in degraded mode waiting for some upgrade… i

I forked this repo and have started to refactor the code to support new features. I first started with the Vertical and Horizontal blinds without weather support.

I’m currently working on supporting the configured Home Assistant Units for non-metric people.

If anyone wants to try it the repo can be added in HACS.

It will not replace the currrent adaptive-cover but create a new adaptive-cover-pro integration that can convert the original devices if you want.

I do plan on supporting this and adding new features / cleanup over the next couple of months.

I’m also working on updating the documentation to better explain how to use the integration.

Hi @soenie3 , sorry too for this delay,

I do not understand your request, if you can see your KNX conver entity in HA, you can see it in Adaptive Cover!
In Adaptive Cover integration:

  • add a new entry
  • choose vertical or tilt
  • in Fine Tune Blind settings, chhose your cover
  • Hope I respond your answer,

Hi @jrhubott ,
Thanks for this job!

I will follow the progress of your work and hope that you will be able to resolve the main issues with the functionality of this integration:

  • transparent blind mode (comprensive explanation)
  • adjustment more accuracy of shadow limit (vertical and tilt)
  • incompatibility between tilt et vertical for a same cover (BSO)
  • fix the Set custom open/close positions for My Cover, if it doesn’t fully operate at 0-100% function
  • etc

I have fixed the accuracy and custom open/close positions. They are available in beta versions if you want to test them. Please create defects for the other 2 issues as I’m not clear on what your expectations are.
