I could not find any integration for them.
Since BBSolar is a subcompany of Meross I already tried the HACS Meross LAN integration. And the lights are detected by it, but I need an device key for the binding. But for this it would require to add the devices first into the Meross app - which is not possible (app does not find them).
So is there any chance that somebody could develop an Integration for BBSolar devices?
It would be nice to at least power them on/off. But of course it would be cool to even set the light intensity, shedules, color shemes, …
There not many plant lights out there that can be used with home automation or even a smart plug.
Most plant lights can not even used with smart plugs, because almost all use all the same x/x/x (6/12/16, 4/8/12) hour timer and when is turned off by a smart plug, it only can turned on manually. Barrina grow lamps are the only one I know that don’t use this dumb timer but have just a on/off button so they can be controlled by a smart plug.
This new light from the Meross daughter BBSolar is the only actual smart plant light I know, that allows changing color and intensity via an app.
The obvious problem for a HA user: I don’t want to install another app to control a smart device and create another account for the “bbsolar” app. I want to integrate my smart devices in HA, but thats not possible with this lamp.
I think companies like Meross has profited from HA in many ways, but they continue to refuse to build their own integration for HA.
