I tried adding a second IP address to HA, this is no problem. Whenver activating this IP it will become the default IP which is not the intention. What I would like to do is to link the unify plugin directly to this IP which is the managment vlan for all access points. Not sure how this can be achieved.
Would anyone have any suggestions?
What is your install method?
What hardware using? it have multiple lan port?
unifi plugin? you mean unify integration?
take a look at this . it tells how to use routing table to route traffic based on IP
not sure if that is best solution but sound like it may be a solution that may work for what it appears to be you are attempting to do
Had another look at the settings as tmjpugh suggested managed to assign a second IP and it’s active without overriding the initial ha address. I can now access the unify integration on the second nic assigned to my virtual HassOS instance. Needed to tweak the ports and inform setting but it now works.
My cloudkey is just another device I could consolidate into homeassitant, freeing up network ports and cut on the power usage even it’s just a little gain.
