Add layered energy consumers for more precise 'missing' energy

I really like the new energy panel where the individual devices are subtracted from a total and shows the ‘missing’ energy not measured. I have a clamp meter on the incoming line, which can also monitor each of the three phases. I plan to add more clamp meters (the ones that have 6 clamps) to find the missing parts. However, some lines will have ‘overlap’, meaning that I can add a clamp to measure lights in the living room, but I have a light there that is already added as an individual consumer. So this will screw up the results.

Having an option to select a consumer as a layer under another consumer, would make it much easier to track down unknown consumers. Especially as I can track 3 phases separately, but every other consumer is under those, so currently I cannot do anything wit that information.

Thank you

You can easily do such data manipulation using Powercalc integration.

Don’t add overlapping devices to the individual monitored devices section.

Create template sensors to subtract the overlap from one of the devices and add the template sensor instead.
