I think it would be good to be able to mark things in the sensor graphs.
Example: I’m setting up a sensor above the kitchen stove to detect the temp and humidity in case somebody leaves the stove on for too long or if the temp goes over a normal range indicating the pan dried out and there is a fire hazard, but I don’t know what temperature represents a hazard.
I now want to be able to set markers in the history of the sensor to mark what happened exactly during a certain time frame when I know that a pan dried out at a certain time. Now I can look back to reference what the temp of normal cooking and the sudden increase in temp rises to and the speed of the increase compared to normal cooking.
In future I can then use that data to figure out what temps indicate what is going on and how they differ from typical use even it’s in colder winter temps or hot summer temps. I can check back at the old marks that I set and that can then help set up or adjust any alarms or warnings I have if I have to come back to alter the exact figures I use for the alarms/warnings.
Hope I put that clearly enough. If not let me know any I will explain further.
I really do think this would be a nice and broadly usable addition to history graphs as it would help with all sorts of situations to show and mark what you know exactly happened with just raw sensor data.
