Add-on: Home Assistant Google Drive Backup

@stephanschleichstr13

These are created automatically by Home Assistant when you upgrade an addon or Home Assistant. The “core” in the name indicates its a backup of Home Assistant’s config data. By default this addon ignores them, but your options are fourfold:

  1. (Not recommended) Ignore them and let them pile up.
  2. (Not recommended) Somehow always remember to de-select the “Create a backup” option when you update things.
  3. (Not Recommended) Un-check “ignore upgrade backups” in the addon-setings and upload them to Google Drive. This will let them take the place of full backups, which most people wouldn’t want.
  4. (Recommended) configure the addon to delete them automatically by setting the option “Delete ignored backups after…” to something like 1 week. that way you have them for a while but they don’t pile up forever.

And should i stop addons before i backup it?

No, unless you have a very special use case its almost always better to let Home Assistant handle that for you.
