Add-Ons does not show on Settings Menu

Hello - New to HA and working with a new HA Green with HAOS 17.0 through Google Chrome. Trying to get the basics set up but the Add-Ons option will not show up in the Settings Menu. I have enabled Advanced Mode under my user profile. I have re-started HA. I have re-booted and shut down the HA Green completely and restarted it. I have cleared my browser cache. I have tried using MS Edge as the browser.

edit: I am trying to get HACS installed. When I go to HACS.xyz and try to download HACS, I get this message. “Error loading addon: Addon cb646a50_get does not exist”

Any suggestions on what to try next?

HACS is under Settings > Devices & Services > Integrations

Then type in hacs on the search line for Integrations

Lower right in that panel click on “Add Integration” button, that will pop-up the search bar/box

HACS doesn’t have Add-ons. HACS doesn’t have Apps.
HACS has Custom Integrations, Themes, Custom Templates, and a few other things.

Yes the Apps store has an Add-on(App) to install HACS. HACS doesn’t have Add-ons(Apps).

Hi Ken, maybe you’ve already figured it out by now, but if not, here’s the solution: Since the new version 2026.2 of Home Assistant, add-ons are now called apps. HACS is one such add-on/app. The installation solutions described by the previous speakers are based on the installer link on the official HACS website, which no longer seems to work since the renaming.
Here is the solution (sorry, the screenshots are in German):

• Open the settings in Home Assistant
  

  

• Open Apps
  -

  

• Click on Install App in the bottom right corner
  

• Click on the three dots in the top right corner and then Repositories:

• In the new window, add the following link (GitHub - hacs/addons
  ) , click on Add, wait, and then close the window
  

  

• Back in the App Store, scroll down and you will find the entry “Get HACS”. Click on it and go to “Install” (this is not HACS itself, but the installer).
  

  
  

• Once the installation is complete, click on
  “Start.” Only now will HACS actually be installed.
  

  

• When “Get Hacs” is running, you will see this by the ‘stop’ and “restart” buttons, go to the logs
  

  

• Check whether the installation is complete (entry “INFO: Installation complete. INFO: Remember to restart Home Assistant before you configure it”
  

  

• Restart Home Assistant

• Open Settings and then “Devices and Services”
  

  

• Add an integration using the button at the bottom right
  

• Search for “HACS” in the new window
  

  

• Accept the terms and conditions:
  

  

• Open the GitHub link that appears, log in with an account, and enter the character string shown in the installation windows within Home Assistant.
  

  

• Authorize HACS on the GitHub website that appears:
  

  

• Return to Home Assistant, select a suitable location for HACS (optional), and confirm.
  

  

• Congratulations, you made it, HACS is now installed.
