So there have been a few posts it seems about this, but it feels like there may be some different wording that is adding confusion. I just switched back to HA on a virtual machine (Mac mini) from my ZimaBoard (docker so container). I utilized my backup from the ZimaBoard to get things transferred over, which included some config file changes for flux. I have run the VM version before, and was able to install add-ons no issue to be able to modify the config file. The add-ons tab shows in settings, but when I go to the store it’s completely blank and shows no repositories. I tried adding the default repository and it states it is “already included in the store.”
I get the container discussion, specifically that it’s more of a “core” install than the full OS, similar to what was on my ZimaBoard and did not show add-ons at all. The VM version includes supervisor which I think is/was the ticket to add-ons, and it states on the installation page “use home assistant OS on a VM,” not container. Am I missing something here or is the add on store being blank a true issue? Understand double virtualization as well (add-ons being dockers in a VM, effectively) so if that’s the reason all good.
If it is an issue, how do I get it back?
