First of all, thank you for your work on the Tedee integration – it’s working quite well overall.
I can successfully lock and unlock my Tedee Pro smart lock via Home Assistant.
However, I’ve noticed that the door latch (pull spring) is not triggered when unlocking the door. Also, the integration currently provides a binary sensor for the latch, but no switch or service to manually trigger the pull spring action.
Would it be possible to add support for the latch as a dedicated switch entity?
Example: switch.tedee_pull_spring
This would allow automations to reliably open the door even if the lock is already unlocked.
Thanks again for your work on this integration – I’d be happy to provide more details if needed.
That switch would do nothing else than the open service of the lock. The lock will only pull the spring on open if auto pull spring is enabled. That’s a limitation of tedee’s API.
Hi,
In my case auto-pull-spring in tedee app is enabled, however, it doesn’t pull spring automatically in HA during opening.
Anyone face the same problem?
Me. Just installed a tedee pro doorl lock and enabled the HA plugin wich works perfectly to do the security locks but wont pull the spring (actually opening the door). Tedee app has a button for it, this would be very useful in case you want to go full keyless but still maintain just the key outside instead of a door handle.
