Add SubAreas on Areas

surely like me and many people we have devices from 2 houses in one home assistant instance.
So we are forced to make the regions like this
LivingRoom House1
LivingRoom House2
Bedroom House 1
Bedroom House 2
Etc.

it would be nice to be able to make it like this:

Area: House 1
Subareas: LivingRoom, Bedroom

Area: House 2
Subareas: LivingRoom, Bedroom

Setup two HA instances, and import the entities from one into the other using the remote HA integration.

This will not solve your issue with areas tho.

I think what you want is to assign a Zone to an Area. Regrettably, entity IDs and naming do not contemplate either area or zone.

Actually, having sub zones would be handy. I have my desk set up as it’s own area separate from my study area. Would be good to have my desk as a sub zone to my study. Would be handy to call to just say one area when turning on/off lights, but also be able to just turn my desk light on/off.

You already can do that. Just turn the desk light off. It’s not necessary to add that complexity in almost all cases.

Add Floor for Area and single device

Add Floor like: basement, ground floor, second floor, etc. After, we can put room on these floor and alone device… like a carpet cleaner. That can be very useful for exemple: when you add a device, it’s automatically add in floor level and you can set easily a buton to close all the light in one level. You can have the temperature hi and lo for a level. You can set all the light of a level on the same color, good for a warning or a reminder. Etc… It’s just a idea thanks
