I would like to request that support for the uplight on the LIFX Ceiling US, would be fine with just getting independent on/off for it for now.
Except the uplight isn’t independent on the Ceiling. It’s the last zone of 64 zones across the entire light.
So, I have a working prototype that does split out the Uplight, but it means compromising some control: because the light isn’t independent. There are a lot of edge cases and some of them are really annoying.
Real life also reduced my spare time drastically this year, so I haven’t had nearly enough time to work on this. I’m hoping to find some time at the end of the year to develop it further.
Oh, that’s silly, but I am not in a rush, I would settle for just on/off for the zone in the next ~6mo. If you get around to it, poke at me and I will toss $100 in the pot for the coffee/booze to deal with the headache.
