Add Tapo DL100 deadbolt support to TP-Link Integration

Yes, it’s a new device. Just hit the market this month (June 2025). Already works with TP-Link app and Alexa… now if we could just get HA to talk to it, that would be wonderful.

I just put this on a shed door, so hope it gets added at some point. Ultimately, I am testing to see how well it works at this price point. So far, so good, other than can’t manage it in HA yet.

I managed to at least lock and unlock it with HA via the SmartThings integration. It works reliably but the downside is it doesn’t work if your Internet is down.

I’ll give it a shot to see if I can add it into SmartThings…

Doesn’t seem to work any more for linking a door lock. The “by brand” setup is no longer there and you have to select a device type, which does not list a door lock as an option. Nor does it find the DL100 in the search. So no dice any more. Tapo still lists as SmartThings compatible for the lock, but it sure doesn’t look like it.

You will need to set up a SmartThings account (it’s free).
In the Tapo app, go to “Me” / 'Third party services" / “Samsung SmartThings”
You will be guided through the process on your phone.

Almost that simple but close  as once you get to the point of selecting a device type, you’ll see that “door lock” is not an option. I worked through support and they said select CAMERA and then you can link the account. Then it will show up if selected to sync.
