I setup zigbee with the usbzb-1 gocontrol stick. I was able to add the first two strips, and they both work fine. Then I added the third and it shows up under ZHA card, but not under lights. The entity name is very short compared to the two that work. The fourth one I tried to add didn’t show up in either location. I am new to this and could use some help troubleshooting the problem. I am running hass.io on rpi3.
Thanks!
Just to let you all know how I overcame this…
I have 4 lightify outdoor strips that I connected directly to HA with the USBZB-1 and the zha.permit command.
The first two worked fine, but the third and fourth both blinked like they joined, but didn’t show up in the interface correctly. The third had a much shorter name than the first two, and the fourth was missing completely even though it blinked like it had joined.
I removed the third from Home Assistant. Again, the fourth wasn’t in there, so nothing to remove.
Next, I reset the light by plugging it in, and unplugging it after 3 seconds, 6 times each. When I plugged the light strips in after that, they went through the colorful power on procedure for an un-joined device.
I then ran zha.permit with the third one plugged in. And the same for the fourth one.
It wasn’t perfect, as I had to remove and re-join the fourth one yet again. But as of now, all four light strips are connected and working. 12 hours later, I can still control them.
I don’t know what the issue is with the join process, but that seems to be where the problem lies.
Hope this helps someone in the future. Thanks!
