Adding a previously deleted Zigbee device—it's not showing up in Home Assistant

I have an IKEA TRADFRI outlet that I used a before, but after a while there was no need for it, so I deleted it from Zigbee2MQTT. Now, when I add it back to Zigbee2MQTT, the device doesn’t show up in the Homeassistants device list (Device is visible in Zigbee2MQTT).

Pairing with Zigbee2MQTT went without a problem; I was able to rename the device, and I am able to control it.

It seems like something between Zigbee2MQTT and Homeassistant is not talking correctly because this was a previously added device. I tried to pair one of my spare motion sensors, and it worked like a charm. I can see it in Zigbee2MQTT and HA.

Things I’ve done:

  • Restarted home assistant.
  • Deleted outlet from Zigbee2MQTT and paired again
  • Updated outlet’s firmware
  • Changed the “homeassistant: true” parameter in the configuration.yaml to “false”, rebooted everything, changed it back to “true” rebooted everything. Paired the outlet again.

None of my attempts did anything.

Check if it was added with a _2 in the device/entity id

There is no new devices in HA’s devices or entity list. The device is only visible in Zigbee2MQTT.

And it is not in the list of disabled devices ?

Re-adding/pairing it for the 6th time fixed the issue. No idea what was the problem.
