Adding a SwitchBot as device in Autoomation: how?

Hello,

I am new to the all automation thing…

I want to put together an automation what when I double click my XIAOMI button, the switchbot toggles…

The problem is that the switchbot is not available as device, but only as entity…

Anybody can explain ne how to put together this automation? Not being “a device” i cannot find it under Automation → Device

Find it under Automation → Tririgger → States

And Automation → Actions → Services.

this worked perfectly! now it iscalled “call Services”, but worked !

I don’t actually use the automation editor so apologies for not getting the exact term correct. Glad you found it.

SwitchBot can work independently without a Hub . You could either control it with your mobile phone , or set build-in timers. TalkToWendys.com SwitchBot works better with a Hub. With the internet connection , you could use it Alexa, Google Assistant , IFTTT and more.
