Adding battery powered Friends of Hue

I have been strugggling with adding this unit using the Zigebee Home Automation integration at my cabin. I have another one installed at home, but I use Conbee Phoscon at home.

I have read other threads here that suggests holding button 1 ten seconds and then pressing button 2 and 3 together, if using channel 15 which I am.

I do however have no luck with this unit. I am also uncertain if this is what works with the Zigbee Home Automation integration. Some threads says that this is not implemented yet, but those threads are a bit aged.

What is the current status? Can I get this unit to work using the described setup? Do I have to be close to the conbee stick when doing this or is it sufficient that the device somewhere in the zigbee network’s range?

My HA (2023.10.4) is running in docker. My other zigbee devices works just fine. I have also tried replacing the batteries in the device.

I only have the Lutron Aurora rotary dimmers. I tried them outside of the Hue hub (with a Hubitat), couldn’t get them working properly. I let the Hue hub manage them, but didn’t try them outside of the Hue hub since moving to HA.

There is a HA Blueprint for the 4 button vertical dimmer (RWL022) that I’m using.

That is to say, I don’t have experience with any other F.O.H. devices, but I’d suggest you search the Blueprints for the model # of the dimmer you have (in addition to stating here the specific F.O.V. unit you’re talking about, so someone with the same model might notice and chime in).
