I’m trying to add an open/close sensor and it’s not working. I placed it next to a dual mode switch and I then ran the “Insteon:Add All Link’ service with it set to controller. I also tried with it set to responder. I then pressed the set button on the sensor but it is never discovered by Home Assistant. Anyone have an idea on how this is done? Thanks in advance.
If you go to the Insteon panel in the sidebar you can use the (+) button to add a device.
Thanks. That added just the device but there is no entity liked to it. 
I want to delete it and try again but there is no easy way to delete the device. I wish there was a delete button just like there is an add button.
You don’t need to delete it to try again. You can relink the device as many times as you want. But before you do, did the device beep when you added it? Do you see the device when you go to the Insteon panel on the left side bar or when you go to Settings → Devices & Services → Insteon → xx Devices (where xx is the number of devices in your system)?
