Advice for poor Z-Wave range

Hi,

I’m in the process of migrating from Domoticz to Home Assistant.
So far, I’m satisfied with HA.

I’m struggling for months with Z-Wave network issues, first assumed to be a problem with Domoticz, but as I still have the issues with HA, that’s something else.

I’m using a Sigma UZB 2014 dongle, with one Fibaro FGMS-001 Motion Sensor and one Fibaro FGSD-002 “Smoke Sensor 2”, in the same room.
And after few networks reset, new pairing, etc… it appears that I have a range of about 2-3 meters, no obstacles… Range test on both Fibaro failing at about 3 meters of the USB stick.

Any recommendations or ideas?

I’m wondering if my USB stick is not dying…

Thanks!

You might be having a lot of interferences in the 900MHz band. This short range for a zwave antenna does not sound normal.
Have you surveyed what else could be emitting in this frequency range?

That’s another possibility, but not sure how I could be able to check that.
