I just got HA up and running well this past week. I have a chromecast, a couple of rokus, a plex server, a philips hue bridge with several bulbs and several 433mhz outlets controlled by a custom built MySensors bridge. I set things up in stages without a plan. Got the Chromecast a while back and named it ‘Bedroom’ got this and that, got the Hue and named the light Bedroom, and Bedroom Lamp. Then got an Amazon echo and set it up using the same stuff. This last week I set up HA to use both the real and emulated Hue bridges and Alexa Learned without my direct help. Now when I say ‘Alexa turn bedroom on’ she puts a Welcome to Home Assistant on my bedroom Chromecast. I was a bit startled that she learned about my 433 stuff automatically, but the Chromecast stuff is startling. The next thing she’ll find is my 3d printer and then we have Skynet. Any advice on how to name things across, HA, Homekit, Hue, Google Home and how to not get these conflicts? I really don’t my house to cause the robot apocalypse.
