Can someone advice me which PIR sensor I should buy? I would like a model which can be connected to Wifi directly (instead of to a bridge) and it should work well with HA.
If you don’t mind tinkering then the Bruh multisensor is exactly that. Expect to spend a day working it all out, but once you have figured it out it is worth it. now have several of these around my house and they work without any issues.
There is a very long thread on this forum about them, and of course the video on YouTube with clear instructions and a shopping list for the individual components.
It you are using a pi, just use the PIR component with any cheap PIR sensor.
Otherwise perhaps the Tradfi?
I have several Hue motion sensors, these require a hub but also include sensors for temperature and light level. Picked mine up half price in an Amazon deal
Thanks @DDK en @robmarkcole!
I will try the Bruh. In another thread I read that it’s possible to connect the D-link PIR sensor to HA, but only with a custom made config.
I already tried the Tradfri but you cannot use the motion sensor as a sensor in HA. It won’t show up. The sensor is only communicating with the bridge and not with HA.
