I have both a washing machine and dryer from AEG. They connect to WIFI for program selection and monitoring (progress, program, detergent, errors, etc).
AEG is apparently using the Alljoyn platform.

Yeah! I second this feature request! this would be super helpful. And a good project for someone who wants to integrate an open source platform like Alljoyn!

yep im all for this as i have electrolux fridge that connects to the Electrolux Life app
