Aeon Labs MultiSensor 6 triggers/wakes other z-wave devices?

When the motion sensor on one of my 5 Aeon Labs MultiSensor 6 devices is triggered they seem to trigger/alert the other devices.
The device has a bright green LED when it’s awake which can be seen when there is activity.
I have a hunch they send some kind of alert on the z-wave network and possibly also triggers battery operated devices.
Is there any way to stop this?

Perhaps you have associated this sensor with the others in a different group, or configured a scene. As far as I know this can lead to the behavior you’re specifying.

I had the same issue about a month ago with the multisensor and a relay.

Go to configuration - zwave - multisensor - node config options - parameter 5: command option - try binary and basic set - one of those will solve your issue - i don’t remember which one, but one of them fixed it for me

My zwave interface shows it to be set at “basic set”, but if that doesn’t fix it try using the other option.

My initial thread: (will update it also after i test) Weird issue with Aeon Gen5 ZWave Stick

I’ve tried set command option to both basic set and binary without it changing anything.
I’ve had a zwave siren (Aeon Labs) that also triggered when on of the multisensors triggered. Thats why I think the multisensor sends some kind of alert on the network.
It started after a HA upgrade (0.4x something).
As far as I can see there aren’t set any associations or scenes. I don’t use that stuff

I had the same problem with a multisensor 4. I never figured out the problem and had to take out the batteries. I was planning on putting the batteries back in and testing after a few more releases to see if anything changed.

hmm… I have it on usb power, if that makes any difference.

I’ll look and my settings this evening and post them here.

Maybe resetting (or exclude/include) it solves the issue? Have anyone tried that?

Associations are found in the Z-Wave configuration menu, when you select the controller under Z-Wave Node Management and scroll down to Node group associations.

It does sound like that is set to include the siren

I just had that problem with my 6 yesterday and I had to exclude and then add the sensor back in. Then my sensor had an issue with getting power from the old and new batteries. Everything worked as it should once plugged into USB power.
