I have tried to Google around and search the forums, but I haven’t found much to help me so far.
I have a few Aeotec Nano-Dimmers. They show two entities for controlling the load. One is a light.xxxxx
and the other is a switch.xxxxx
. So far, as far as I can tell, both of these seem to operate together when calling the service to turn on or off the light from the interface.
The Nano-Dimmer also has the option to control it via a standard wall plate switch (either a two state or a momentary type switch).
What I was wanting to do, was to trigger an automation based on operation of the manual switch only.
Currently the light, when in automatic mode, will operate depending on motion, light levels and sun position.
I would like to be able to have an overide automation that if the manual switch is operated to turn on the light, the light will stay on until manually turned off again, but I only want this to happen using the wall switch, not any software switches.
Does anyone know if this is possible, if the manual switch can fire a different event to soft switches?
