So I have paired this device easily to my Home Assistant. But it does not want to auto update at all. I set all the settings in configure to yes auto update. I set the auto updates to 1 seconds and all them are on
I have no idea why it wont auto update… If I do the reinterview then new values show up but the readings are not right… its like my entire panel is using 2A… i wish…
Curious if anyone else uses this and has any issues? I have read the other threads about the parameter 101 and there is like 20 of them but they are all set to auto report
You MUST use Zwave JS UI, seems to be the only way.
For the device, you need to go to the group section and Add a new group and set the following settings (See image). From what I am told this tells their unit to report back to the Node 1 device on your network (for me this is my zwave stick and I would assume that is the first device on most)
"This is actually a main function of Z-Wave, usually this group association is suppose to be programmed during the pairing process, but in some cases it either doesn’t or the wrong endpoint is used.
Lifeline (Group 1) of Group Association is pretty much the main feature of a Z-Wave product, all Z-Wave devices will have Lifeline, this directs where the main features of a product should report to.
In this case, you are telling the ZW095 HEM Gen5 that its main features should be reporting to the controller. It just so happens that during pairing process, the association just isn’t getting programmed for some reason. "
Z-Wave JS auto-assigns Group 1 to the controller for this device. There must have an an error during the interview. A re-interview should fix it too, did you ever try that? Unfortunately you can’t see the group associations in HA.
yes I tried re-interviewing about 10 times… I also tried removing the device and adding it back in about four times. it must be something to do with the device to be honest because there are a lot of other people on here that have said the same thing that it just won’t auto update. no matter what they set the settings to.
