I’ve been struggling setting up the Aeotec siren for a while now. I’m able to start a chime/siren using the siren.turn_on service call but this leaves the siren ringing. I’m trying to setup a door chime so I need it just to play the chime once.
Even if I play a short chime sound it will loop continiously when it is triggered via the siren.turn_on service call.
Some users suggested moving from ZWaveJS to ZWaveJS2MQTT would be the best way to handle this as it is more powerful. I’ve moved over to ZWaveJS2MQTT but I’m overwhelmed by all the configuration options for the siren.
What does all this stuff mean? There’s pages of this. Why do I need to define all these tones within the config? Can’t I specify all these parameters within the service call so that it can vary from automation to automation?
