Aeotec z-wave stick gen5 gives ACPI bios error

Hi,

I am a newbe for Home Assistent.
I bought a mini PC with HA on it.
Now I want to migrate my hardware from domoticz to HA but I got a little problem.
When I connect my aeotec z-wave stick gen5 (zw090-c) I get an ACPI bios error

[3952.047566] acpi bios error (bug): could not resolve symbol [_sb.ubtc.rucc], ae_not_found (20230628/psargs-332)

[3952.047566] acpi error: aborting method _sb.pc00.xhci.rhub.hs04._pld due to previous error (ae_not_found)

Meybe connected with this problem is that I see 1 of the 2 Fibaro wall plugs correctly and ik can programm it. The other wallplug is only seen as node9 and not configuable.

How to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Laurenzo

If you can see at least one of your devices then it appears that the ZStick is working properly. From what I have researched, this bios error can be ignored.

If you can not see the second device, then this is more likely due to RF performance differences between Aeotec, and Domoticz.

Hi Tommy Long,

Thanks for your answer.
What I do not get is:

Why is the RF of a Raspberry PI - Domoticz with a aeotec zwwave stick gen 5 better than the RF of a Intel miniPC 5095 with a aeotec zwwave stick gen 5?

Is there a way to improve the RF of the Intel miniPC 5095 with a aeotec zwwave stick gen 5?

Or is it better to by the newer aeotec zwaver gen7?

Thanks in advance,

Laurens

You can ignore my earlier comment on Domoticz vs Aeotec.
However if you’re talking Raspi+Aeotect vs. miniPC 5096+Aeotec, then really about the only RF differences would be whether you are using USB2.0 vs USB3.0 and whether you are using a USB extension cable or not. 3.0 has more RF noise than 2.0. Who knows but the miniPC may emit more RF noise near its USB ports than Raspi.

I think as long as you have a USB extension cable of two to three feet, then the RF performances should be about the same.
