Aeotec zwave gen5 neo coolcam powerplug

Hi all,

I have installed the above named zwave stick and in HA I installed zwave2mqtt. If I open the software it sees the stick. So that is oke. Then I try to add the powerplug by putting the software in conclusion mode and click the button on the stick. Then qlick 3 times fast on the powerplug to connect it to the stick. But I can’t get it to work.

Please can someone tell me how to solve this?

Ensure no load is connected to the plug when performing the inclusion. The clicking has to be 3 times within 1,5 second, during which it should not turn on/off or you’re too slow. Can you provide logging? Is this the first device or are others working fine? You might have to perform exclusion first before pairing it with your Z-Stick. What hardware are you using?

Hi,

I am using HA in a vm on my qnap nas. All is working fine. I have a conbee 2 stick and the zwave stick. In the conbee stick I was able to add devices. The zwave stick is alive and is seen in the zwave 2mqtt app. I have tried the add node button in the app and tried the aeotec way with the button on the stick. After licking the button 3 times within 1.5 seconds the button gets a purple color for a view seconds. It is the first device I want to add.

As I am not home now I can’t send you a logfile at the moment.

Thanks

Here is the logfile. Can anyone tell me what I have to do to get it to work with adding devices.

Most likely it could be USB3 incompatibility or interference, so an extension cord for USB should be tried. Otherwise you’d need to gather the Zwave logging instead of the addon startup logs.

Finally found the solution.

I have to reset every plug before it is seen by the zwave stick.

Thanks for helping.
