I searched for other threads pertaining to this, and i found two, but neither had any replies. I just migrated my Home Assistant instance to a new SSD drive. The system starts up and most of my devices and automations seem to be working, however, I have two problems, and they may be related. It appears that none of my Add-Ons will start. I can’t look at any config files because the file editor will not start. Also, my Z-Wave configuration seems to not be working. All the documentation and videos I can find to troubleshoot or configure all refer to older interfaces and to things I can no longer find in the new interface. I’ve been working with this for some time, however I’m still a HomeAssistant Noob. Can someone please point me in the right direction to see what I’m doing wrong or what may not have ported over correctly? Thankfully, I can still go back to my old system on the SD disk and it appears to work ok, but I want to be on the SSD for longevity. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Try: Settings–>System–>Hardware–>3 dot menu–>Shutdown System–>Remove Power–>Wait for a few seconds–>Power it backup.
Should restart the add-ons.
I can’t believe I hadn’t done that already! I had done a restart several times, but I guess I hadn’t actually pulled the power and did a full reboot! It’s working now! Thank you very much for your help! That also fixed my Z-Wave issue since the Z-wave addon wasn’t running and now it is. Thank you again!
