After reboot, all devices/sensors show last status change same as last reboot

Hi all. Hopefully not a dumb question, I did search.
Whenever I restart HA, when I click on any device or sensor, it shows the time since last boot, instead of the time since last state change, if they haven’t changed since reboot. Is this normal behaviour, it doesn’t store the last state changed values? Or did I miss a setting?
For example I last restarted 16 hours ago. When I click “outside light” or “basement motion” they both say 16 hours ago, not 2 days ago. While garage door is 3 hours ago, since it has changed since the reboot.

This behaviour is a bit bothersome for one of my applications. I have a binary sensor talking to a remote Hikvision camera’s PIR motion in my mother’s apartment. I know I can drill down into the state history, but it would really be nice to know that the at a a glance “12 minutes ago” is accurate and not just the last reboot.
Guess I’ll run it up the feature request flagpole.

You could try using an SQL Sensor.
