Hello,
I run my HA through Virtual Box’s VM on a Windows 11 computer. After updating from 2023.8.4 to 2023 9.0 and above, my internet continues to drop when I have HA running. At first it takes a few hours, but as time passes, internet connectivity drops faster and faster, until it starts to drop every 20-30 minutes. Here’s what I’ve noticed and done so far:
- It only happens when I upgrade to any version above 2023.8.4 (so 9.0 and above)
- Changed Router and Modem - Initially thought it was my router or modem, but both were replaced and tested it with a different brand (tried Verizon Fios and eero. Both lose connectivity) Issue continues.
- Turned off UPnP and IPV6 - I’ve searched online and in some forums folks turned off their UPnP and/or their IPV6, but this does not work for me. Issue continues.
- New vanilla version of HA - Thought maybe some corrupt files were in the backups or some integration issues, so I started a new HA from scratch. Issue continues.
- Thought Windows 11 had some corrupt files, so I reinstalled a clean version Windows 11 (did not fix the problem). Issue continues.
- Currently testing in another computer running Windows 10 and using Virtual Box’s VM. If the internet starts to drop again, I’m not sure what else to try.
As mentioned above, this only happens when I go beyond 2023.8.4. If I stay in this version or revert back, my internet connection remains stable and does not drop.
Any thoughts? I can’t think of what else to try.
