I am trying to automate my air conditioners with Honeywell evohome as the temperature sensor.
I have the sensors visible and can also read the temperature. As a test, I set an alert in an automation if a certain sensor goes below 15 degrees that I get a message. So this doesn’t work. I’ve tried current temp, min temp and temp but I don’t get an alert at any point.
Ultimately, what I want is to let the air conditioners heat up if an evohome sensor falls below a certain temperature. Later I want to expand this with the electricity prices in my dynamic energy contract.
Can anyone point me in the right direction where I should start looking? For example, why does the alert not come through.
