Is the calculation the same as a single spill zone? i.e. bypass percentage = 100 - (sum of zone open percentages)
If so, I could add a sensor for that pretty easily if people are interested

I canât just send the file out for it, best to just lodge a ticket with Airtouch. Check what that security patch version is though first.
Yeah mate thatâs all it is, it works exactly the same way as as spill opening wise.
yup will do. Thanks for the help again bro. Legend.
Even the old style connector on the back had wierd issues too, maybe send me a pic of the connector on the plate against the wall when itâs undocked and Iâll let you know if itâs the old style tablet or not.
hey bro see pics. Imgur: The magic of the Internet
before today my gateway 1 used to be 2.1.0.3. Today updated it to 2.1.0.4.
My android security update is october 5 2023 so itâs same as yours.
What to do?
Ok, you seem to have the current version screen.
I would submit a request still to Airtouch and they will look into it to see whatâs going on, they can remotely view a bit of data but may just end trying a new screen.
The gateway update wonât have any effect on that side of things, gateway updates wonât load until the whole system itself is power cycled.
whole system meaning the AC outside and internal system? i can just turn off the RCD in meter box and turn it back on.
yea iâve emailed support [email protected]. Waiting on their response.
what about a factory reset of panel and clear data of android app?
these things can sort many things. But i dont know if it voids warranty.
Yeah just turn it off at the switchboard or outside isolator
You could factory reset it and it wouldnât void warranty but I wouldnât do it so that it can be looked at in the current state itâs in. It will make the process easier and they would most likely just replace the console.
oh ok got cha.
yea true. The console theyâd send to me or installer?
i believe i can just save and export all settings to a file, and then just import to the new console?
They would either send it to you or someone from Airtouch would come out to do it.
Yes you can just export settings but I just take about 5 pictures in my phone and run through and set it up again, takes 5mins
awesome will do thanks man!!
Sorry in advance for the long post.
We have 6 zones. On Monday we had an extra outlet added to 1 zone (just a Y-junction to split the duct) and a bypass damper installed.
Since then, the system has been behaving strangely. What used to happen in the mornings is that the system would start up and run at full power (I can see from our solar monitoring that it was drawing approx 5kW) for about 90 minutes until the set temperature was reached in all zones, and then the unit would ramp down, and draw around 1kW to keep the house at the set temperature.
Since the bypass damper and extra outlet have been installed, the system only runs at full power for about 30 minutes, and then drops down to draw 2-3kW. So it doesnât warm up for a very, very long time. So what I have is a very, very unhappy wife.
I have disabled the bypass in zone settings and set it back to spill. That has solved one issue (one of the intake vents was very noisy even on low fan, and it is right outside the main bedroom).
Normally we start the system on Low fan (whilst we are still in bed to keep the noise low) and then when we get up we use the iA fan mode to get up to temperature more quickly (usually for about an hour or less), and then set it back to Low for the rest of the day. We are having to leave it on iA mode for longer, but it is just taking much longer to reach temperature.
I only had the bypass installed because we had an issue over summer where the house would reach temperature, then the spill would open and the living room would continue to drop in temperature until it was 3-4° cooler than the rest of the house. From my reading, the bypass would fix this. What I didnât count on was that it would screw up winter operations.
Does anyone have any suggestions about what I could do to try and fix it (and save my marriage :-)? The installer canât come back for 2 weeks, and I have emailed Polyaire but I havenât heard back.
You Should be just using it on Intel Auto all the time, if the system needs more air then it should be able to supply. If the fan cant ramp up it will effect how hard the outdoor unit runs.
Is Intel auto setup properly and acounted for the additional outlet?
Has the control sensor been chnaged to Auto to suit the bypass.
There is heaps of other factors invloved with this all working properly.
I have messaged you and your welcome to call me anytime and we can go over everything so you both understand whats happen and make sure the system is setup properly.
Is there a HA integration for the beam?
Not as yet, waiting for some documentation to be provided to me so it can be passed onto someone to see if they can make it
Hey mate
I have a 14kw daikin unit which currently has a smart temp damper controller.
An aircon company are installing airtouch and have allow for an 8" damper to bypass to return air.
Is this a sufficient size for bypass?
Nah no way, too small!
it should be around 350mm/14â for a system that size to work and function effectively
