Recently picked up one of these waterless diffuse from amazon to take it apart in hopes to build my own, but in all honesty it works great. Downside, its not a wifi device but operates on Bluetooth, with user programmed schedule.
Wondering what’s the procedure to listen to Bluetooth packets and make home assistant integration for it? Or if theirs a 3rd party integration i do t know about that already exist.
Hey there, I’m new to HA and was trying to do the same. Have you found a solution? I have two Scenta XL, and the only way I’ve been able to integrate them somewhat was with a smart plug that turns on/off.
No i recently came the conclusion, there are no Bluetooth packets to sniff as there’s no button in the app that tells it to diffuse so thus there’s no function to copy. On the flip side, the diffuser works amazing as is and does not need to be smart. I tested various oils some thicker some from local shops and some from reputable online brands. I highly recommend you use light oils nothing thick.
@zodyking I found the same thing. I was able to make it somewhat smart with the plugs. it works well enough. But you are right, the diffuser itself is fantastic. I buy the oils from AromaPlan when they go on sale. It lasts FOREVER!!! A lot longer than body sprays for sure, I tried that too and wasn’t too impressed
