AirVisual frontend config vs YAML config.. what's the point

I’m a little confused by the AirVisual integration. I used to use the integration via YAML where I could specify the cities to include etc but I moved over to adding the integration via the front end. I can set it up fine and add the API key and Long/Latitude but I always get the same result, it only shows Chinese and US results with no way to change or amend these.

Do I still need to add the config to YAML to get the location is need? If so what’s the benefit of allowing the integration to be added via the front end?
