Hi all,
I have a Honeywell Vista 21IPLTE connected to HA via the AlarmDecoder USB module.
Everything works (arming, disarming, sensor status, etc), but Home Assistant changes to “triggered” for things that are “trouble” conditions in my panel, such as “panel low battery” or “missing RF check in” for the supervised sensors. Good to know, but definitely not an emergency. Because these trouble conditions are showing up in HA as “triggered”, I do not know how to write automations based on something critical like a fire or burglary (alarm conditions)…heck I am not sure how to even identify if Home Assistant is fed the difference in a trouble condition and an alarm condition, or if Alarmdecoder just passes everything trouble/alarm as “triggered” to HA.
I have searched through the forums with the search tool, the Alarm documentation on HA, the manual alarm function, and I think I am just missing some configuration somewhere. Surely someone would have had this issue…My next step is to ditch AlarmDecoder for the ESP option but I wanted to see if anyone knew if this is this a limitation for Vista panels altogether, or if Home Assistant has all it needs and I have it somehow configured incorrectly.
I have also toyed with the TC 2.0 integration but the lag over the interwebz was too much (often 50-60 seconds) to be useful for my home automation purposes.
Thank you kindly,
Tyler
