Alarm Status

Afternoon.

I’ve installed HADashboard and everything is great so far.

Only problem I have, is that when Arming/Disarming the alarm via hadashboard, the status on the alarm widget doesnt change and stays on “Disarmed”, although it’s actually being changed in Home Assistant correctly so I know the action is working.

Anyone else have the same problem?

It worked on my v1 dash, but it takes a few to update the state.

I have a delay configured so mine changes to Pending then the alarm state Armed (Away) comes up.

It works if I refresh it, which isn’t ideal.

This happens in IE/Chrome, so dont think it’s browser related.

You may want to hold off on this for a bit; HADash v2 is coming soon and will eliminate the need for HAPush among other things so response to state changes is almost real time.

The only issue is that the alarm widgets will have to be re-written to work under the new framework which is running on AppDaemon now instead of the Dashing libraries.

Hmm I did see that, but saw that it’s still in development, so wasn’t sure how long it would take.

I can wait, it’s not urgent, but looking forward to v2 nonetheless.

Not long. It’s already working, we’re just trying to make it solid for the public beta.

V2 is also designed for easier layout and skinning. I’m working on the skinning part now. In fact, I’m going to be going dark in a few minutes so I can update the skins I built for the beta to the last updated code.

It will be well worth the wait though - I promise.
